District 7 (former)
Saigon South. Since 1 July 2025 the area is made up of four new wards: Tan Thuan, Phu Thuan, Tan My and Tan Hung.
Since 1 July 2025 Ho Chi Minh City no longer has districts, and the wards of District 7 were regrouped into four new wards. Buyers and tenants still search for "District 7", so every listing shows both the new ward and the former district.
Tan Thuan Ward combines the former Tan Thuan Dong, Tan Thuan Tay and Binh Thuan wards, home to the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone and towers along the Saigon River. Tan Hung Ward combines the former Tan Phong, Tan Quy, Tan Kieng and Tan Hung wards, covering most of Phu My Hung and the Nguyen Huu Tho corridor. Tan My Ward combines the former Tan Phu and part of Phu My, around FV Hospital and Crescent Lake. Phu Thuan Ward combines Phu Thuan and the remainder of Phu My.
Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard is the main east–west route, linking the area to Binh Chanh and, via Phu My Bridge, to Thu Duc.
